We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it only in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO) and applicable national data protection law. This policy explains what data is processed when you visit this website, for what purpose, and what rights you have.

3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by GitHub, Inc. via GitHub Pages. Each time this website is accessed, the hosting provider's servers automatically record technical information ("server log files"), such as browser type and version, operating system, referring page, date and time of access, and the IP address used to make the request. This data is processed to ensure stable and secure operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in system security and stability) and is not merged with other data sources.
4. Contact form
If you use the contact form, the data you enter (name, email address, company, message, and any other details you choose to provide) is stored directly in a database operated on our own self-hosted infrastructure, so that we can respond to your enquiry.
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract) and, where no contract results, on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
Data submitted via the contact form is retained only as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any follow-up correspondence, after which it is deleted unless we are subject to statutory retention obligations.
5. Local storage / cookies
This website uses browser local storage rather than traditional tracking cookies. See the separate Cookie Policy for a full breakdown of what is stored, for how long, and how to manage your preferences. In summary:
- Necessary: a record of your cookie preference itself, so we don't ask again on every visit, and your chosen language, so the site opens in the right one (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Functional (only with your consent): your light/dark mode preference (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent).
- Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics, see Section 8 below (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent).
6. No profiling or automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
7. Your rights
Subject to the conditions set out in applicable law, you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR);
- request rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR);
- request erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR);
- request restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20 GDPR);
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR); and
- withdraw consent at any time, with future effect, where processing is based on consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU/EEA member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement.
8. Google Analytics
With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; for users outside the EEA/UK/Switzerland, Google LLC, USA). Google Analytics sets cookies (see the Cookie Policy) and processes data such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and how you interact with this site, to help us understand usage patterns.
Google Analytics only runs after you actively opt in to the "Analytics" category via the cookie banner or the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TTDSG), which you can withdraw at any time with future effect.
